John Burris is a term-limited member of the Arkansas House of Representatives, where he represented areas of northern Arkansas for three terms. During that time, he served as the House Republican Leader from 2010 – 2012 and as the Chairman of the House Committee on Public Health, Welfare and Labor from 2013 – 2014. In addition, Burris served as Political Director for Senator Tom Cotton in campaigns for U.S. House and Senate. He is currently a partner at Capitol Advisors Group and a columnist for Talk Business and Politics. He is originally from Harrison, Arkansas and is a graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelors Degree in History.  He and his wife, Katherine, live in Little Rock.
